So what do you think ?
First off, it's a bit like preparing for a race all week and then, finally at the starting line, the little fat man with the starting pistol and too tight pants wheezes "On your marks, get set...", and over track comes Vincent and shouts "Arrêtez! Arrêtez! Heureka!".
The little fat man briefly considers not aiming at the sky and just to get on with it... :) :) Then again, it does sound very interesting! The most important question is: Can you finish it all up and make it work from a haiku-os.org website (right, Jorge?) within the next few weeks? Things tend to evaporate
Other questions: All languages are in that one page, right? If a block isn't translated, it falls back to English, right? Is there a summary table that shows which files are not yet fully translated? Is there versioning to revert changes for each language? How are big/small changes to the English original handled? Are localized images supported? Are the finished generated languages automatically commited to SVN?
I had done a prototype which seems to works fine, but got very busy before having a chance to test it thoroughly. I can send you the URL if you are interested (I will not post it here since the admin panel is completely unprotected for now ;)
I'd love to have a look. Please send it over. Thanks very much for working on that thing. For what it's worth, I very much like the indexing-approach. It's the freaking lot of details that have to be considered and implemented that make things complicated...
