[haiku-development] svn diff/patch problem (not Haiku releated)

Hi
I know this list are for Haiku development but I don't know where to ask
other developer question so I hope you don't mind me asking them here.
I have some problem with diff or if it's patch.
My Problem are that a diff I made from changes in Transmission don't work
correct when I patch an existing branch. all my Changed files are added in
the root of Transmission_0.8x not under beos where they should be.
How to patch (or how I did it)
Download Transmission
svn co svn://svn.m0k.org/Transmission/branches/0.8x Transmission_0.8x
use this diff on this source
patch -p1 < Transmission_diff
configure and then make
when I made the diff I was standing in Transmission_0.8x
oh and this patch are not a final but as I have lost intest in continue
the transmission patching due to that Transmission are broken after 0.82
(they are using libevent).I thought it would be a good idea to make a diff
and make it public :).
