[haiku-development] output mapping in Media Prefs

In Media Prefs for Haiku, there is an option called "allow output channel
remapping," and another option that says, "allow input channel remapping."
Does that refer to the ability, in HDA, to utilize jacks for whatever purpose
you like, and to route audio to the jack of your choice?
