[haiku-development] mail_daemon slowdown, BeFS corruption?

Hi there!

I'm running a fairly current revision (r37527). Does anyone else feel 
like the mail_daemon is about 10x to 20x slower fetching mail?
I only get enough mail to notice that on my gmail account, which also 
happens to be the account with tens of thousands of mails. Maybe 
there's a connection?
Also, even before starting to actually downloading mails, mail_daemon 
is pegging the CPUs for some time. In my last revision (I guess around 
r37400) this was also quicker, about 7s. Now it takes maybe 30s...

Maybe this is related:
