PulkoMandy mentioned it is something we need to fix anyway... we
see the same issues with github and a large number of other sites we use.
For a start, I've always just used BeZilla to access the forums -- even
NetPositive is fine in a pinch. However the new site *rejected* my
BeZilla access -- too old!
[Sites which don't try to accomodate all browsers are one of my
pet hates... Providers like the BBC, Wikipedia and Google know
better.]
The issue isn't providing support for all browsers, the issue is
supporting browsers made within the last 5 years.
I get it, however web standards advance. HTML5, WebSockets, CSS,
browser notifications. We're not talking about the site requiring IE to
function, we're talking about needing a browser (any browser) developed
within the last 6 or so years.
