This is already the case.  That is, I think more than a few heads
would turn if I were to commit any code that touched the kernel. ;)

Andreas has a known history with Haiku, HaikuPorts and Mono among
others, of checking his work and having others comment on it, so I
think the risk is low, with a good payback. So it's a +1 from me.
