That's silly though. In the case of home there's a good technical reason to segregate it, namely to minimize how much the user's personal area is cluttered by OS stuff. Neither /boot/common nor /boot/system suffer from that issue since they're not designated as areas for the user to manipulate. Consistency for the sake of consistency when it offers no visible improvement, and in fact downgrades things is a cure worse than the disease. Regards, Rene
