Is this a temporary downtime, or did something change? Do I need to change
the location?
Haiku website shows
git clone git://git.haiku-os.org/haiku
and
git clone git://git.haiku-os.org/buildtools
A few months ago (some time last year) the git protocol interface for
anonymous users stopped working. However, the https one still works,
use https://git.haiku-os.org/haiku for the haiku repository URL.

Thanks for the tip, it worked.
But git://git.haiku-os.org/haiku (and similar for buildtools) worked as
recently as April 24: 4 or 5 days ago.
Now should I use
https://git.haiku-os.org/... or use the github location ;(with
https)?
If the github.com site is a mirror, it might be a little less up-to-date or
up-to-hour than git.haiku-os.org
Web page
https://www.haiku-os.org/guides/building/get-source-git
really ought to be updated when the old information no longer works.
Still,
https://git.haiku-os.org/haiku ;(or buildtools) produces a blank page in
the browser.
