If we turn it off now, that would then cause any programs/packages
built during the time it is off to not detect the presence of IPv6.
Keeping it in place may be a bigger motivator to get it fixed sooner
than later. I guess this may raise IPv6 improvements as a potential
GSoC project to a higher priority.
