I was pretty strategic choosing wasabi and writing the rust "object storage 
redirector"

Haiku pays for storage used at wasabi, not bandwidth.
(Wasabi has some "special" rules like upload a 1GiB file twice, or rename a 
1GiB file, and you've used "2GiB" for 3 months.)

We can also switch to any other s3-style object storage at any time.

Anyway, no bandwidth worries :-)

That's really good news :) 

I thought I saw some discussions about cost for maintaining infrastructure, so 
I thought it would be a help (even though small) to host a mirror. 

I remember the discussions about the S3 object storage a while back. Will the 
haikuports and haiku-repository, etc be hosted like that too?
