there have been a lot of pains:
I bet it's not worse than Trac on that aspect :(
Correct. Trac has also been pretty bad.. but at least it's not java :-)
I'm not sure if it is viable, but perhaps it would be worth having a look at
GitLab [1] [2] for this purpose?
