It's a motivation more than reasonable to make a little addon API.

People is an app tailored to do simple contact editing. I think that it must
remain a stand alone app. I like it's simplicity. I'm thinking something
like that :
You open the contacts preflet, then select a contact from the list and then
click "Edit", a People window will appear. If you select another contact,
the existing People window will display the new contact (using BMessage
internally).
