Heh, lame insult attempts doesn't work on me. I'm putting the code out
there soon enough, so let's take it from there...

Maybe you need to better distinguish between "lame insult" and "challenge". I am merily expressing my doubts, based on what I know so far, that your definition of "decent shape" would match my definition. And that your estimate of how much work you have ahead, respectively how "easy" using the Linux kernel for Haiku would be, might be very optimistic. That's all. Where is the insult in that?

If you feel that is insulting, I wonder what you think how many Haiku developers should feel, including me, about what you said you have accomplished in what timeframe and what that means about how skilled and informed the Haiku developers must be in comparison. Whether you mean to imply that or not, it doesn't come across as if you were trying hard not to.

I do think that your tone towards me is pretty harsh ever since I made that "Weyland" remark for which I already apologized. Maybe you can try to not read anything more (and insulting) into what I actually said and I will try to do the same.

I was one of the first to tell you I like the idea of your project and I am genuinely interested in the code and approach. Specifically using Wayland for the app_server. I have written or reworked most of the Interface Kit and app_server in Haiku concerning graphics output. So why don't we try to get along well? It might be for the mutual benefit of our projects. I am deeply familiar with tons of small problems and necessary quirks when you try to make your graphics stack compatible with BeOS.

Best regards,
-Stephan
