Speaking of torrents and mirrors... I did talk with a Linux Foundation/kernel.org representative at OpenSource World and he asked if we thought we would need some help mirroring this release. He is willing to gather up a few mirror sites for us if we're interested, and provide some advice for our release distribution as he has worked with several Linux distributions in the past on their release/mirroring strategies, including bittorrent seeding, etc. Let me know if this sounds like a good idea and I'll contact him. We also should go ahead and make use of the new "web seeding" feature that many bittorrent clients support. This allows a torrent to download from multiple URLs in addition to other seeders in order to provide a working solution even if all seeders are offline. For nightly builds in the future, we can also consider bittorrent and mirrors if demand becomes high enough - automating the process if possible. - Urias
