Just wanted to let the devs know that I upgraded git on vmrepo today,
it was still on 1.8.5 and is now updated to 2.7.2
I've been avoiding this update for a while as I didn't know if it
could cause issues, but it seems everything is still working fine.
If you run into any new git-related issues, mention it here and we'll
investigate.
