Most should work. But be careful of ones that try to autoinstall programs
on Windows. Those often times create a fake cdrom device or regular but
read only partition and won't along you to make the device bootable. I ran
into two different such USB drives when trying to make mine.

I would build or download an anyboot image to dd to a 4 GB USB stick, as I did
with R1A4.
No way that would try to autoinstall programs on Windows, especially when I was
in FreeBSD or NetBSD.
My question was how big the USB stick had to be (4 GB? 16 GB?) and if USB 3.0
or 3.1 would be incompatible.
