Actually, changes *will* be saved. Unless you run from a DVD which is read only.

That is how it works already. Even if you run from a DVD or other write onyl
media. The data is
copied from the running RAM disk.
Is that a somewhat more recent change? That didn't seem to happen
around HREV50000, IIRC. If so, I can just be ignored, I haven't messed
around with a fresh Haiku install in a long while :p
