If it was possible for apps to animate or substitute their icon in Deskbar
this could actually be useful in addition to being fun (or annoying).
Windows 7 apps can show progress in the task bar. In OS X the Calendar
app icon shows the current date (in Dock and Launchpad but not in Finder)
and the Mail icon has a badge of unread email
