phoronix.com regularly does GCC vs Clang benchmarks. Clang is faster in some 
tests, on par with GCC in others and only really slower in those that use 
OpenMP.

I know those tests, and while the comments always mention how great clang performs, it actually seems to be slower on almost all tests, besides the ones testing the compilation time.
