There should be separate sections for touchpad and mice, since they
are fundamentally different and the touchpad settings will also
include things like touch zones. I have no issues on my windows laptop
or on my mac with the separate settings.
It's the multiple keyboards where I think things get overly
complicated. Is there no way to detect keyboard layout? The click rate
etc. should be the same across all keyboards, only the layout need to
be different for each. I'd have though if you plug a keyboard in to a
laptop then that's the one you'll be using until you remove it, I've
never had two keyboards plugged into a desktop machine except for once
when I had a PS2 + USB keyboard plugged in just because at the time I
couldn't use the USB one with slackware's installer.
