I'm not completely sure about the icons. If they were the actual icons
provided by the HDS (along with the real package names) it'd be really
nice, but as long as they have the generic HPKG icon, it's a bit
repetetive.
That may be possible.  I haven’t looked at the way HaikuDepot does it yet so 
don’t know what kind of work that would need to impliment.  I was also mulling 
around with the idea of when the downloads are happening have a progress bar 
over each icon like Haiku’s drive desktop icon “used space” bars.

No idea about that resizing issue, but generally, I think the "Cancel"
should just close the app if there are no updates being downloaded. No
need for an "Update cancelled" window then.
I’ve got to redo the whole cancel/quit process anyway since ALT-Q doesn’t 
cleanly quit.

Initial window height could be bigger to show maybe 3 or 4 entries.
