Hi there! TigerKidd asked on IRC about ticket #10123 "Add warning alert to critical folders in ~/config" [1]. I don't think the ticket as-is is valid anymore. Before changing it, I'd like to discuss how the behaviour should be. Currently there are the read-only folders of the PM in ~/config and /system (e.g. add-ons, bin, lib). Renaming them doesn't work (though Tracker's menu item "Edit name" isn't ghosted). Deleting results in a read-only-alert. Then there are folders like "cache, non-packaged, packages, settings, var" (do you call those "virtual" or "see-thru"?). You're still allowed to rename them, but the name-change doesn't stick. Ticket #10123 demands an alert, like it already appears when renaming "settings" but the question is: Should their names be editable in the first place? Or is the actual bug that they currently appear editable, but actually shouldn't be? Thanks for clearing that up.
