Just a friendly reminder that we begin working towards R1/Beta2 at the end of
August
with a target release date "in the fall".

Here is the early timeline (based on how R1/Beta1 went):
https://dev.haiku-os.org/wiki/R1/Beta2/Timeline

During R1/Beta1, we developed out the needed infrastructure to do
branch-based + PM-based releases through buildbot... so hopefully R1/Beta2
will go
smoother than R1/Beta1 :-)

We're pretty far from this target now. As of this moment, the following things
are blocking R1/Beta2 from branching:

Code:

https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/14805
  * Remove struct size hacks in net80211
https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/14961
  * Audit all syscalls for permissions and access checks

Infrastructure:

https://github.com/haiku/infrastructure/issues/43
  * Buildbot uploads R1/beta1 repositories to master S3 bucket #43
  * I have a solution to work around this one. Shouldn't be an issue.

Anyone wanna help out on #14805, #14961 to help us get to the R1/Beta2 branch?
Are there any blockers missing on R1/Beta2?
