Keep in mind that $94 is a GPU + CPU. (you're saving money not needing to buy a
graphics card)
There are a few lower end AM4 chipsets with integrated GPU's, but I
really can't recommend them.

You'll also have trouble finding these on Amazon en-mass for building
consistent systems. (I think they're mainly OEM chips)
Haiku "brute forces" it's way through a lot with CPU cycles since we don't have
a ton of hardware acceleration.
I'd be concerned with Haiku keeping up with any serious audio processing /
playback on the AMD A8. (your workloads may vary though)
Keep in mind this isn't guaranteed to work smoothly under Haiku. (just a
"should work")
Keep your receipts in-case you need to make an adjustment :-)
Thanks for that! If we want to just use VESA mode, I assume we don’t need the
GPU side of things, is that correct?Dane
False. You need a GPU for even VESA (without an on-chip GPU/APU, you don't have
a 'graphics card'.. the motherboard ports won't work)
