I think the community would benefit from an actual R1 (as planned), but not
that much from
something
we pretend is R1, while very well knowing that it is just another beta
release and our work isn't
done.
R1 is not about the version number, but about the actual contents of the
release.
+1. I completely agree with Adrien here; R1 should have some meaning
about how polished it is and who can reasonably use it. I do not think
we are really at a point where even your average "Linux desktop" user
could use Haiku reasonably, but I do think we are not too far away
from that point. Certainly we have made significant strides in the
past year or so.
