Is there guide already written on this subject? If not I think it
could be a very useful document to have for when the project wants to
really start pulling in application developers.

I thought I might try and port synergy to Haiku, unfortunately for me
I know very little about autoconf and the first stumbling block would
seem to be that it doesn't recognise the type of system. I'm guessing
that it just needs to recognise the BePC string from uname. I tried
stealing some of the stuff from buildtools but having got into a bit
of a mess (it seems to ./configure but not make - config.status
complains about a bad parameter) so I'm not sure that was really the
way to go with it. If anyone's got some pointers I'd very much
appreciate them!

I've got Haiku booting on my hardware, sound doesn't work now (but it
did a few months ago so I guess that was using OSS which isn't
installed atm). I've got a sata drive and can only boot if I enable
AHCI in the BIOS and disable Legacy USB support. If I have legacy USB
support enabled the boot process hangs right after the hand off to
Haiku from the BIOS.
