I was not aware that dragging a folder icon and dropping it on a Terminal window would set the current directory in the Terminal. This, is quite useful if you already have a Terminal window open. However, if not, it is a two step process. That is, a Terminal window must be created, and then the folder icon dragged to the Terminal window. Whereas, something like Summon can do it in only one step."Stefano Ceccherini" <stefano.ceccherini@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:And while we are at it... what about something like Summon to open a Terminal on a given directory ? I know that Summon does bad things, but I wonder if we could do it in a safe way.I am not sure about it; for one, normal UI users probably won't really need this. And also, I find myself using it only rarely since folders have their icon draggable.
