But I'll abide by the majority decision as to my suitability, of course.

No Trac access yet, unfortunately.

Allegro... we managed to get their 4.3.10plus svn branch to build on
Haiku, although it might still be a bit buggy, this will soon be
released as 4.4. We haven't yet started work on their 5.0 branch
which is currently sitting at 4.9.9.1, they were hoping to release
something 5.x by today but doesn't look like they did. I believe the
BeOS/Haiku code in that branch will need a bit of work to bring up to
date, but their MacOS porter seemed to think it wouldn't be too hard.
Also the door is open on NASM getting into Haiku Alpha 1, that is if
we can get a clean working build of it... We also have CMake working
now which is required for building Allegro's 5.x branch.

Feel free to join the HaikuPorts mailing lists, even if you aren't
specifially working on ports, you might be able to provide insight
from time to time when others run into troubles.
As for things to do on Haiku... I'm sure you'll find one or more open
tickets that interest you....

I've requested an account on BePorts per your earlier suggestion. And I'll also sign up to the HaikuPorts list, which sounds interesting. Once I get the tools working properly, building a new version of NASM from sources shouldn't be too hard, although I'm sure the code has changed a lot in the past few years. I could also rebuild and check the other packages in Haiku, which shouldn't take long.

As for finding a few tickets of interest ... well, yes. There are certainly enough to go around. :-)
