[haiku-development] Mouse performance (was VirtualBox Mouse laggyness...)

Ok, after a number of successive builds, I've narrowed down the date that poor mouse performance began on my little Atom 330. The changes that cause the poor performance seem to have been introduced on 3/31/2009 though it doesn't appear that there was anything USB or mouse related committed during that day. I used "svn update -r {2009-04-01}" to get the changes as of midnight April 1st, and the problem isn't present in "svn update -r {2009-03-31}".

I do have a bit of new information on the problem though. Builds that I did based on 3/29, 3/30, and 3/31 all display a white screen after initially showing the blue background, filled with gdb data, and my keyboard doesn't work though I can still move the cursor with the mouse. (Keyboard and mouse are a part of the Logitech Cordless Wave Desktop done over USB, and I think USB keyboard vs KDL was discussed in another thread last month.) The 4/1 build doesn't drop into the debug screen, but for a few seconds after the blue background and mouse cursor appear, the mouse performance is normal. The screen then seems to flash, which could be Tracker loading at that point, then the mouse performance drops to the unusable level that I mentioned in the other thread.

Looking through the changes for the 3/31, I don't see anything obviously related to USB or mouse performance, though there were some changes to the kernel in support of FUSE and some interface kit changes as well. I recently discovered while getting a null modem cable for situations like this, that only my Atom machine actually has a RS-232 port, so I'm in the process of trying to get the serial port bracket I need from Asus for my other desktop.
