Hi Fellows,

from an "outsiders" perspective the current discussion feels very strange!

Please drop these pointless discussion and fighting against each other. You ALL together have achieved something, which many people including myself wouldn't have held possible seven years ago! You have managed to actually build a fairly compatible BeOS clone with some nice but not breaking or disturbing additions like the layout system.

Why risk loosing the praise for what has been done by engaging in a pointless discussion and fight shortly before the probably most crucial milestone in the history of the project?
Well it feels strange to all of us, but hey, it seems that reality was distorted quite a bit. I don't know if you guys actually read the discussion before making claims like that (kindergarten), but the majority of the people that took part in the talk actually agreed with Jorge and even executed his wishes with, as result, total indifference and not a single thanks from him. He basically ignored any people that tried to reassure him, and kept on insulting everyone although everyone was trying to have a serious discussion and keep the tone friendly. I think he sincerely tried to get things done, for the good of the project, but used a totally wrong approach, being (really very) harsh doesn't work here.

(this is not a personal attack against koki, i'm just defending another point of view)

I don't know what to say, i'm just speechless, i mean, there's no logic at all to what happened... Now, we lost enough time with this, so please let's keep this list for programming, and if someone really wants to continue, use the general ML (it *works*). But in any case, please please please, anyone not really involved in the project please keep the noise low on the dev ML, people are working here.

Regards,
Alex
