Hi Fellows,

from an "outsiders" perspective the current discussion feels very strange!

Please drop these pointless discussion and fighting against each other. You ALL together have achieved something, which many people including myself wouldn't have held possible seven years ago! You have managed to actually build a fairly compatible BeOS clone with some nice but not breaking or disturbing additions like the layout system.

Why risk loosing the praise for what has been done by engaging in a pointless discussion and fight shortly before the probably most crucial milestone in the history of the project?

Shift focus - yes I know, this term is somehow tainted by Be's actions and communication in 2000 - back to what is important now and in the weeks to come until the next BeGeistert or whatever date will be the magical Alpha Day!

Facilitate the classical strength of the Europeans, more technical and Americans, better marketing, to make the dream come true you all together are living!

If you can't stop the discussion get somebody fairly neutral to mediate. Ideally one with both engineering and marketing experience, who understands both worlds.

Its more than enough to see pointless us vs. them discussions in many companies, where marketing and engineering fight similar wars.

Cheers,
Rossi
