Yes it does, as it was the *Media* OS :PNo seriously, if your I/O gets slow, that's fine, also if some application simply works slower. But if your video player starts skipping frames or hangs while playing sound, you consider the system to be completely screwed up.
Sounds weird, but that's how most people I got to know recognize how good an OS is with handling "realtime" and multiprocessing...
