I was actually considering to provide different resolution boot splash 
images ("normal" and double). It will blow up the kernel size though, which 
the current boot splash pics already do much to Axel's dislike. Maybe when 
I had a chance to support decompression of the images. The bootloader 
already has the needed code according to Axel.
