I followed the instructions on your page: http://maurice.kaldience.com/?p=77 but, being unfamiliar with cygwin I ran into some hiccups and I suppose that might have been what prevented it from working properly. You can easily identify if you are inside of a managed directory, if you take a look at it from Windows Explorer.
