[haiku-development] How to debug app on haiku

Hi,
I have compiled Haiku os on ubuntu and generated Haiku os vm image.
I want to track some app's action, so I used gdb. It told me that: there is
no debugging symbol.
Here is the question: How do I generate a app with debugging symbol?
Use Jam can easily generate the image, but I don't know how to generate
haiku within debugging symbol.
