I don't remember the details, but I don't think these reasons apply to haiku-depot-web or HaikuPorts.
Also, are there any specific problems with the status quo?
Also, from what I can tell, Google seems to be phasing out Google Code -- downloads are already disabled.
That would really surprise me. Wouldn't there have been a notification by now?
