In my last attempt to throw out Windows and install a Linux I came across a tool called “Fedora LiveUSB Creator” (https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator). This tool was really cool and made things easier :) As I’m a C# developer a have begun to make such tool for Haiku but only simplifying this How To http://www.haiku-os.org/community/forum/how_to_install_haiku_to_usb_flash_drive_from_windows It’s made in Visual Studio 2008 C#, SharpZLi. The GUI is much inspired by the “Fedore LiveUSB Creator”.It’s possible to browse for a zip and after that it’s automatically flash the USB you have selected. The program can also list the files from predefined server/servers and download that image, unzip and then flash the USB (right now the Flash part is separated from the app).
With C# it will require the .NET Framework... it's a bit overkill IMHO. What's wrong about C and C++? Almost the whole Haiku is written in C++... I wrote C++ Windows apps for ages, I can help you with that. Regards, Gabriele
