I disagree. Applications like a web browser are really basic and no one will 
want to live without it. So I would try to determine the application categories 
we assume are needed by most testers, and where there is really only one good 
choice, we should include it. For example, Haiku comes with it's own solution 
for e-mail. Personally, I believe Beam is a much more powerful application, but 
I would agree that Mail is still a good choice. Therefore I could live with 
Beam not being put on the image. But to give another example, there are a few 
applications for IRC. But Vision is simply the best one and therefore I would 
put it on the image.
