I see that HAIKU_VERSION in BeBuild.h line 3 is still sticker at pre alpha
4. Is it too late to switch to "pre beta 1"?

The switch is effective since hrev51205.

About x86_64, I'd like to change the compatibility string at
http://cgit.haiku-os.org/haiku/tree/src/data/package_infos/x86_64/haiku#n19
to something like r1~alpha4_pm_hrev51198, to make sure old x86_64 packages
get removed on upgrade. Is that OK?

We have to make sure whatever we use versions properly.

Maybe:

r1~beta1_dev

VVVV

r1~beta1_rc1
r1~beta1_rc2
etc.

I think we can drop the _pm_... alpha4 was non-pm,
so we had to prefix it with pm until we knew what the next release was.

We can count the time -> 64-bit changes as r1~beta1 compatible :-)
