Good news,

I was able to get permission from the original author of GLUT to relicense his work MIT...

The other license in GLUT is Be sample code... so we now can safely make changes to
our in-tree GLUT code (and distrubute the changes)

There was a small stipulation of *no* GPL licensing.. which seems ok for us. (and I notated that in the license comments). I included the original email as LICENSE.txt in the GLUT directory
for oversight purposes.

We still may want to port FreeGLUT someday... but given the amount of work, and the fact that not too many projects use GLUT anymore... this seems the best route for now :)

awesome !
