On Mac OS X home and end (as well as command+up and command+down) go
to the beginning and end of the document while command+left and
command+right go to the beginning and end of the line respectively.

It is easier to switch between word-wise and line wise navigation by
alternating between control (well option actually) and command because
you don't have to take your right hand off the arrow keys. Also on
some keyboards (laptops mostly) you might not have home and end, at
least not conveniently, so it also works as a backup.

All that being said I can see command + arrows being reserved for
application specific shortcuts, browser back and forward for instance.
On Mac OS X this can be a bit of a problem if you are doing text
editing in a browser (not uncommon these days) so maybe it is not a
good idea to copy those key shortcuts on Haiku... which is why I wrote
"if anything."

Anyway, I'm not sure what got switched to what but word-wise
navigation via control seems like the right way to go to me.
