I have been working on an article for a while that I hope to finish
and post to haiku-os.org today. This will just be a basic "Part 1"
introduction that I will add on to later. Eventually these articles
could become more formal documentation.

Yes Qt's layout system did inspire much of Haiku's, which I mention in
the above article.
