Well, I'm naught but a high-school student, but I already have around 4 years of c development under my belt. I have extensive experience in graphics (OpenGL, raytracing, etc).Last summer, I created a small 'operating system' that booted up into a BASIC prompt, and later added other functionalities to it (I got zile running in the end, along with a basic FS infrastructure and minimal c library-statically compiled in, of course-to support it). But, I'm rather sick of low level stuff (maybe it's because I got a mac), and would like to help with haiku, an operating system that holds great promise in my mind. But, and this is a big but in my mind, I'm not sure Haiku works on my system; I currently run it through vmware (and it's dog slow). I boast a home-built computer running an AMD X2 (2.2 ghz) with virtualization on this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138269 (but with socket am2). Also, I've have VERY little experience with community-based development, so I have no experience with patches, version control, etc. So, how can I help? You can contact me at this email address, bailey.d.r@xxxxxxxxxx Cheers, Duane.
