No need, the problem is known to me. At one point I managed to improve the 
situation somewhat, but it's definitely still broken. Some properties of the 
previous clip are still having an affect on the new one, like duration and 
current playback position (sometimes). I need to have a closer look, but Media 
stuff (and the player specifically) is much on the top of my personal list of 
stuff to look at next, anyways. :-)
