We didn't switch to it. What you're referring to is either IOAPICs for
interrupt routing or APIC timers for timers. APICs are used for timers on all
processors that support them by now, yes. The IOAPIC isn't used yet however,
because it cannot be fully initialized yet, due to the missing PCI interrupt
configuration that depends on ACPI. I've made the ACPI module usable at the
stage it is needed, but I haven't added actual code to retrieve the information.
