any chance (eg 43i)? Can't it be set to always use 60Hz?

I don't know if it is a weird interlaced rate, but the horizontal rate is only about half what it should be. Based upon the data in our mode table for a refresh rate of 85 Hz, the horizontal rate should be about 91 KHz; whereas, the horizontal rate is 46.4 KHz according to my CRT monitor.

I'm not an expert on using the video BIOS for setting a video mode, but as I recall if the chip is at VESA 2.0, the refresh rate can not be specified. Whereas, if the chip is at VESA 3.0, the refresh rate can be specified. The chips with this problem are VESA 2.0 chips according to the info in the syslog.

Best regards,
Gerald
