Great!
I'd suggest to meet up in BeShare

  how about irc? :)

(or JavaShare [2] if you're not in Haiku (but how do you effectively code then?))

ArchLinux, vim, qemu, and a gun.

for that coding weekend. People won't get distracted by the usual IRC noise

I'll assume your talking about me. :P

and can easily share files.

 git?

And who knows, maybe people will stick with BeShare as their little chat&share place while coding in the future. Would be
nice to put BeShare to a bit more use...

This isn't a *bad* idea... however BeShare hasn't been updated for a *long* time even though it's open source.
(the rsrc hasn't even been converted to rdef)

I do have the following complaints about the whole concept of moving to BeShare:

* Haiku would need to run a central server for BeShare for it to be official. * It could put the Haiku, Inc. at risk if anyone decides to throw warez or music on there.
 * It limits new users from getting help as it is way less common then irc.

Thoughts?
