I haven't had time to read carefully through all the messages in this thread.
That would take all my waking hours and cut into my sleeping hours, and be very
bad for my sanity.
One developer on the FreeBSD emailing lists was banned. He was responsible for
www.dragonlace.net, developing an Ada compiler and development system for Ada
in FreeBSD, NetBSD and DragonFlyBSD.
He also developed synth, a tool for building and installing FreeBSD ports and
DragonFlyBSD dports in a clean software environment.
To the best of my memory, his github site was
https://github.com/jrmarino
It still is, I just checked.
Anyway, it was a loss for FreeBSD.
I bring this up just for comparison to the Barrett case here. I was not in on
the disputes in either case, so I can't pass judgement.
But I hope the Haiku people can come to some sort of reconciliation in the
Barrett case.
