Are there some things that simply can't be done if using layout
management? If the problem is that apps don't expect BAlert to use the
layout kit, the old implementation could be used for the old API, and
the new, layout-based implementation could be used for the new API which
allows more buttons. If new apps wish to have more than three buttons,
they'd have to deal with the layout kit if they wish to fiddle with the
alert window, whilst old apps would of course still know nothing about
the new API.
