If you are referring to me dropping promises I think you misunderstood
the situation.
It was  only about one or two weeks ago and I sent a mail here about
it, starting this conversation. I'm actually the one trying to push
this in several ways, get good work merged, get more developers and
improving our flow for handling contributors.
That said, I'm not sure what the best workflow is.

I've talked with others who have similar problems. A few patches get
reviewed and commited by different devs, but no one notices or keeps
track of the contributor.
